Electrical Services
How do I know if I need a panel upgrade? +
Signs include: frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, burning smells, buzzing sounds, rust or corrosion on the panel, home over 25 years old, or adding major appliances like an EV charger or hot tub. We offer free panel inspections.
What's the difference between 100A and 200A service? +
100A panels are older and may not handle modern electrical loads (AC, electric dryers, multiple devices). 200A is the current standard for most homes and provides capacity for future needs like EV chargers and home additions.

Do you install smart home devices? +
Yes! We install smart switches, outlets, doorbells (Ring, Nest), thermostats, and provide wiring for home automation systems.
Pricing & Payment
Are your prices materials-only or full installation? +
All our prices are COMPLETE, TURN-KEY pricing including licensed labor, all materials, permits, cleanup, and 1-year warranty. These are NOT materials-only prices. You're getting the full professional installation. The prices you see on our website come from our live pricing system, which uses real-time data from local Philadelphia suppliers (Home Depot, Lowe's) and NECA labor standards. Prices are baseline estimates based on national averages for typical installations, but actual costs vary based on project complexity (underground vs. overhead service, attic access, etc.), site conditions, materials selected, and access difficulty. We provide FREE on-site estimates for accurate binding quotes.
Why does electrical work cost so much? +
You're paying for safety, expertise, licensing, insurance, permits, quality materials, and warranty. Cheap electrical work can be dangerous and cost more to fix later. We use licensed electricians and quality materials for your safety.
Why do prices vary so much for the same service? +
Every project is unique! For example, running an underground electrical service costs significantly more than overhead. Factors affecting price include: project complexity, age and condition of your home, accessibility (attic vs. basement vs. crawl space), distance of wire runs, materials selected, code violations that need correction, and unexpected conditions discovered during work. This is why we always provide FREE on-site estimates - we need to see YOUR specific situation to give you accurate pricing.
Can I get a discount? +
We offer 10% senior and military discounts on labor. We also run seasonal promotions - ask when you call!
Do you require a deposit? +
For large projects ($2,000+), we may request a 25-50% deposit to order materials. This is applied to your final invoice. Small jobs are typically due upon completion.
What payment methods do you accept? +
We accept cash, checks, all major credit/debit cards (Visa, MC, Amex, Discover), and online payments through our customer portal.
What if I'm not happy with the work? +
Tell us immediately! We'll make it right. Our reputation depends on your satisfaction. We don't consider a job complete until you're happy.
Contracts & Agreements
What type of contract will I sign? +
For residential: typically a Service Agreement (small jobs) or Fixed-Price Contract (major projects). For commercial: Master Service Agreement (MSA) for ongoing work or individual Work Orders.
What's included in the contract? +
Scope of work, pricing, payment terms, timeline, permits, materials specifications, warranty, insurance proof, change order process, and cleanup responsibility.
Can I cancel after signing? +
Yes, within 3 business days of signing (PA law). After work begins, cancellation terms depend on work completed and materials ordered.
What's a Master Service Agreement? +
An MSA is an umbrella contract for commercial customers (like property managers) with multiple properties. It establishes pre-negotiated rates and terms, then individual work orders are issued for each job.
Emergency Services
What's considered an electrical emergency? +
Sparking outlets/switches, burning smells, smoke from electrical, power completely out, storm damage, exposed wires, water in electrical panel. When in doubt, call us!
How fast can you respond to emergencies? +
We aim for 2-hour response time for true emergencies, 24/7/365. We'll stay on the phone with you until a technician is on the way.
Are emergency rates higher? +
Yes, after-hours/weekend/holiday rates are higher due to availability requirements. Emergency service calls start at $175-$250. We'll quote the rate when you call.

Can you match my existing trim? +
Yes! We can match profiles, wood species, stains, and finishes. For historic homes, we specialize in matching period-appropriate materials.
Do you provide materials or do I purchase them? +
We can provide all materials (included in estimate) or work with materials you've purchased. We'll advise on quantities and quality needed.
